Bye Ophelia!

Ophelia has come and gone with much ado here in the Northeastern corner of South Carolina. Horry County schools were closed for two days, as were some local businesses were closed. Ophelia mainly delivered massive amounts of rains and some wind here; there’s lots of brush everywhere, but very little damage.

This very gloomy picture taken Tuesday at 6:30 pm on the beach. You can’t really tell, but the waves were much higher than normal for our area.

This picture was taken on Wednesday after all the rain had stopped. I made smoked salmon BLTS for dinner & stopped by Wal-Mart to get some salmon. Ophelia’s departure made for a glorious sight!
