I’m currently working on this bag from Knitty: It’s called “Unbiased”. The woman who made the pattern owns The Wool Peddler, an online store where I bought the beautiful, recycled sari silk. AND one day, I shall finish this bag.
This weekend, my sister came to visit me. We ate awesome steak salads at Logan’s, had a drink at Stool Pigeon’s, did some Halloween Formulating, went to the Hook & Needle Club, had sushi, and watched The Wedding Date. It was an action-packed weekend for all involved. Not to mention, I did 6 loads of laundry before she arrived on […]
With all of the crazy and terrifying weather happenings going on right now, I tend to look up at the sky a lot more. Yesterday, while driving up to Shallotte, NC to see Redeye (great thriller btw), I was watching the crazy cloud formations only to discover a tiny rainbow. When I was a kid, that daylily field was acres and acres wide. My grandparents can’t take care of the field as well as they used to, but the […]
This weekend, I was finally able to finish an embroidery I’ve been working on forever! Over a year ago, I bought a barely started cottage embroidery scene at the bi-monthly Lutheran Sale at the church near my house. I was thinking about starting a new embroidery that I bought at another flea market, and then realized the cottage was still […]
This past Friday, my office took a little field trip to Brookgreen Gardens. It was a beautiful day, and I think I got some really nice photos. You can see them here. Brookgreen Gardens is an amazing place. I highly encourage anyone visiting the South Carolina coast to make a stop there.
