Green Dimes is an organization that helps you stop your junk mail (you can choose which catalogs you’d still like to receive); they also will plant a tree for you monthly. At only $36 per year, a subscription makes a great gift. (I still can’t figure out why they’re for-profit company though.)

In farmers markets of South Carolina, Okra is a great vegetable available all summer long. Pick up a, “Mess of Okra,” and serve it fried for a really tasty treat!
