Travel to Reykjavik

**EDITED TO ADD** Check out the December edition of the Atlantic Monthly for an entire article on why Reykjavik in winter ROCKS!

Why go to Reykjavik in December?

Northern Lights
1. To see The Northern Lights
The Northern Lights (aka Aurora Borealis) are visible only from September through April and can only be seen on a clear, crisp night. If you’re lucky enough, you can catch a sight of the swirling, dancing lights on your winter trip.

Blue Lagoon
2.Visit the Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon is a pool of geothermal seawater (2/3 saltwater and 1/3 freshwater) that has a constant temperature of 100-110°F. The seawater is led directly from its natural source to the Blue Lagoon, where guests enjoy bathing enveloped in the warm blue water. The Blue Lagoon has become one of Iceland’s most visited tourist places and is also very popular among Icelandic people.

Reykjavik
3. To see the Gorgeous city of Reykjavik
Take a VACATION to a very cool place famous for its design, food, people & culture. I’m so excited about my upcoming trip!

I loved your comment on my website. Can you really have too much julep?! Your trip sounds way too cool. I have been there yet. The closet I’ve come is St. Peterburg, Russia, Stockholm and Helsinki which were all beautiful. By the way, don’t eat reindeer. Its really nasty!
